A police car has been badly damaged after a crash with another vehicle near a roundabout.
The collision took place at around 10.40 am this morning near Weirs Roundabout, where the A37 meets the B3147 in Dorchester.
The police car was attending a separate incident when the collision occurred.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the crash involved a police car and a Ford.
A passerby saw the police Vauxhall Astra with the front bumper badly damaged on the side of the road.
They told the Echo: "We saw a police car which looked badly damaged on the road out of Dorchester towards Yeovil."
Both vehicles were recovered and the road was cleared at around 11 am and there were no reports of any injuries.
Enquiries into the collision are ongoing.
