THE public has been warned to expect extensive live firing at Lulworth Ranges this month.
Firing will take place during the day, on differing hours, every weekday between now and the end of the month whilst residents can expect night-time firing on February 16, 18, 21, 23 and 28.
Night-time firing will take place between 6pm and 11.59pm.
The Ministry of Defence has said there will also be firing on the weekend of February 18 and 19.
During this time access to the public will be restricted with no public access to the Lulworth Range Walks, Tyneham Church and School, or Tyneham Village Gates.
Road closures are expected to be in place with Whiteways Road, from East Lulworth to Grange Hill, having limited access whilst firing takes place.
The firing ranges, located between Wareham and Lulworth, have been in use since 1917 and cover an area of more than 7,000 acres.
