THE air ambulance was called to Bridport to help an elderly lady who had suffered a fall.
The aircraft was spotted landing behind Victoria Grove in the west Dorset town on Tuesday afternoon at about 4pm.
A spokesperson for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance confirmed that it was called to Bridport to assist the lady, who was assisted at the scene before being taken to hospital by land ambulance.
"Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance were called to an incident in Bridport this afternoon which was reported as an elderly female, who had suffered a fall," they said.
"Our critical care team assisted on scene and the patient was conveyed to hospital by land ambulance."
