A WORKPLACE cafe and podcast suite is set to open in Dorchester's Brewery Square.
Debut Encore is the latest project from Bradley and Amie Butterworth, the owners of escape room attraction The Great Big Escape, which is also in the square.
The new cade and podcast suite on Pope Street aims to be split into two levels with the downstairs becoming a workplace cafe.
The cafe aims to provide a comfortable environment and a different opportunity for those who are remote working.
Owner of the new project Bradley Butterworth said: "For me, it is about the whole work from home and remote working situation.
"I worked from home before the lockdown. But now I can't work from home, I get too distracted. I always find myself hunched over a laptop or not comfortable.
"The cafe is about making a comfortable environment and that is what we want to offer."
While the downstairs area of the building offers a working environment as well as hot and cold refreshments, the second floor will offer something completely different, with a podcast suite fit for video and audio productions which can be rented out for certain periods at a time.
"There are 400,000 podcasts and there are more coming," Mr Butterworth said.
"It (podcasts) hasn't hit the UK as much as they have hit the US but the room will be an environment for people to come and record.
"We can do video podcasts as well as audio podcasts. The place is about creating a hub, a business hub in Dorchester is what we want to achieve."
The premises is hoping to open in time for the May bank holiday later this year.
It is set to create up to five jobs which will be advertised for in upcoming weeks.
If people are interested in applying for a job at the development they can email their CV to recruitment@debutencore.com
This new venture comes just a year after the pair opened The Big Escape Room in Brewery Square in February 2022.
Consisting of two different escape rooms – suitable for those 13-years-old and over – the venue was described as 'one-of-a-kind' for Dorchester.
