POLICE have issued a renewed appeal to help find a missing teenager from near Dorchester. 

Alice Bendall, who is also known as Alex and is 18-years-old, was reported missing at around 3pm on Sunday, February 12 2023 after having last been seen at around 6pm on Saturday, February 11 2023 in East Hill in Charminster.

Alice is described as five feet six inches tall, of slim build, with short brown hair and may be wearing a green body warmer, dark coloured jeans and Dr. Martens boots with a green lace in one boot and purple lace in the other.

Chief Inspector Andy Edwards, of Dorset Police, said: "Alice’s disappearance is completely out of character and our officers are conducting extensive searches in the area.

"We are also receiving support from partner and voluntary agencies including National Police Air Service, Dorset Search and Rescue, Wiltshire Search and Rescue, Dorset Search Dogs, Hampshire Search & Rescue Dogs and Wessex 4x4.

"In our efforts, we are also continuing with house-to-house enquiries and I would like to reiterate our appeal for residents in the area with home CCTV or dashcam – particularly in East Hill, Westleaze, Vicarage Lane and Mill Lane – to please check whether they have any footage that might show Alice walking past.

"I would also like to appeal to Alice directly – if you see this appeal, please get in touch with us or your family as we all just want to ensure you are safe and well."

The renewed appeal comes a day after police issued their first witness appeal on Monday, February 13.
