PART of a road in Weymouth is set to be closed this week.
Norfolk Road will be closed between its junctions with Somerset Road and Sussex Road - a distance of around 125 metres.
The closure will enable Jurassic Fibre safe access to lay duct in the highway.
The road works began on Monday, February 13 and are expected to be completed by Friday, February 17.
Throughout the closure, there will be a diversion in place.
The alternative route, which will be signposted will include: Sussex Road - Queensland Road - Corporation Road - Chickerell Road - Quibo Lane - Norfolk Road.
The closure notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
Those using the route are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
