Some 200 runners took to the coast of Portland at the weekend for a 10k, half-marathon and marathon.
The sold-out Bustinskin run along the Portland coast took place on Sunday, February 12, and 200 people took part across the three distances.
The route followed the Portland section of the Southwest Coastal Path with the basic principle for the half marathon being ‘keep the sea on your left and the land on your right’ and you will not go far wrong.
Mark Steen, the owner of Bustinskin, said: “For us it was brilliant. Everyone followed the route; the location was brilliant, and the weather was fantastic.
“The Portland coast is one of the best experiences you can have as a runner.
“Our 10K record for the coastal run was even beaten by three and a half minutes.
“A massive thank you to all who helped out at today’s race, and all involved in putting the event on. Swift Signs for sorting out our amazing trophies, Timing Monkey for keeping track of you all and Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy for being the best hosts and cooking the best roast for the marshals at the end. Bluestone Medical event medics for patching up the odd faller and a thank you to all of our amazing marshals and flapjack makers for making it run so smoothly.”
