A man was arrested following a fight in Dorchester town centre on the weekend.
Police were reported to a fight involving two men at around 1.05 am outside the Royal Oak Pub on High West Street on Sunday, February 12.
Following the incident a 31-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of affray.
He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. Police Constable Harry Amos, of Dorset Police, said: "There were a number of people in the area at the time and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.
"Also, I am appealing directly to the other man reportedly involved in the incident to please get in touch so we can take your account of what happened.”
