A FESTIVAL celebrating all things beer is set to come to Dorchester this week.
'Brew Dorch' will take place from Wednesday, February 15 until Sunday, February 19 as beer lovers gather to celebrate the town's brewing history.
The festivities begin on Wednesday with a beer-themed special edition of Brewhouse and Kitchen’s quiz night which will begin at 7 pm.
Thursday will include a day full of booze with a variety of tasting sessions including beer, and gin. It will then be followed by a four-course tasting dinner with a local vineyard Furleigh Estate in the Casterbridge room.
On Friday there will be an opportunity to learn about Dorchester's brewing heritage and enjoy a beer in a brewing tour.
That will then be followed by a cocktail tasting and DJ session at the Kings Arms pub.
A free-to-enter open day will be hosted at the Brewhouse to start the Saturday as attendees are invited to see the brewing in action. There will be another brewing walk and talk as well as an opportunity to make your own pottery beer tankard with a workshop from 'Pots n Pints'.
Saturday will be rounded off with a comedy in the courthouse at Shire Hall Museum.
For the final day, the Brewhouse will once again be open for tours.
Later that day the last event of the festival is the Dorchester Pub Race.
The race will see which sees competitors wear fancy dress in a beer-related sprint across the town to raise money for Dorchester Foodbank.
