A WOMAN tragically died at her home address after, an inquest has been told.
Richard Middleton, assistant coroner for Dorset, opened the inquest into the death of Elise Isobel Dominy at a short hearing held at Bournemouth Town Hall on Friday, February 10.
Miss Dominy, born in Poole, died aged 22 on October 9 of last year at her home address on Bell Street in Swanage.
Coroner’s officer Grace Munro told the hearing that Ms Dominy was an administration officer and lived in Swanage with her parents.
Ms Munro said that, on October 9 of last year, Ms Dominy had been watching TV with her parents and eating sweets when she began having a ‘medical episode’.
The court was told her parents believed she was ‘choking’ and hit her back in an attempt to clear her airways.
Paramedics were called who performed CPR before Ms Dominy was pronounced dead. Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances and Dr Julian Stoltte, pathologist, ruled the cause of death as unascertained.
The hearing was adjourned for a full inquest to take place on August 1.
