A GROUND solar panel system is to be installed at Wraxall Manor to help reduce energy costs.
Dorset Council has agreed to the panels in an adjoining field to the listed house, which dates back to the mid-1600s and has been undergoing extensive renovation work over recent years.
The panels are to be installed behind a wall to the south and will not be visible from the house itself – the location agreed as suitable by Historic England, the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty team and Dorset Council’s conservation officer, who were all consulted on the planning application.
