A LIMITED EDITION book to help people enjoy Dorset's nature through the colder winter months is to be given out for free.
The book, titled Seasons of Stories Winter, looks at the seasonal changes taking place at this time of year and is told through short stories, riddles, recipes, poetry, and illustrations.
It aims to support wellbeing and is part of the Stepping into Nature project, which is led by the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty team and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
It is aimed at those who may not have as much access to nature, such as people who are living with long term health conditions, in a caring role, experiencing loneliness, low mental health or lack of confidence.
The release of the winter edition will complete the Seasons of Stories series.
Stepping into Nature project officer Steph Aburrow said: "We’re excited to share the winter book and for the Seasons of Stories series to be complete.
"Creating this book has made me look beyond the dark, cold and glum wintery days and instead appreciate the beautiful parts of winter, such as the clear starlit skies and glistening frosty mornings.
"Hopefully this book will help people to find what they personally love about winter.’
The book is available to view digitally now at www.dorsetaonb.org.uk/park-event/winterbook
