A MAN was found dead at home in Weymouth after emergency services were alerted to the scene.
Dorset Police received a report from the ambulance service on Friday, February 3 that a man in his 60s had died at an address on Cobham Drive in Weymouth.
The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin have been informed.
The Coroner for Dorset has also been notified.
A full statement from Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at 3.26 pm on Friday, February 3 from the ambulance service in relation to a man aged in his 60s who had died at an address in Cobham Drive in Weymouth.
"Officers attended and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
"The man’s next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been notified.
"Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this difficult time."
South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that a double-crewed land ambulance had attended the incident.
Initially, the fire service were called to help gain entry to the property, however when they arrived, paramedics had managed to enter the building.
A statement from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service said: "The ambulance asked us to attend a property in Cobham Drive, Weymouth at 3.06pm last Friday to help them gain entry, and we mobilised a crew from Weymouth accordingly.
"But the paramedics got in before we arrived so we didn’t need to do anything."
