Further strikes will go ahead in Dorset today with nurses and ambulance workers set to take action.
On Monday, February 6 nurses represented by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and ambulance workers of the GMB union will take action.
Dorset County Hospital (DCH) has said that it will be planning to run as many of its services as possible despite being down on nursing staff.
A picket line will be present from 7:30 am-4 pm outside the hospital.
Patients are advised to attend their hospital appointments as planned unless they are contacted by the hospital.
A RCN spokesperson said:"The RCN’s pay position is clear. We expect to see a pay award that goes 5% above inflation (the retail prices index)."
For the ambulance strikes, there will be a picket line in Weymouth.
The line will be at Weymouth Ambulance Station, Souter Way, Weymouth DT3 5BJ between 6 am and 6 pm.
The nursing strikes will go ahead between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm, the ambulance strikes will run from 6 am until 6 pm.
