Arrests were made following an attempted burglary and alleged assault in Weymouth.
Police received a report at around 7pm on Thursday, February 2 that a man had been found with injuries on Wyke Road in Weymouth.
Reportedly the man had attempted to force entry to an address on the road and was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary, the force said.
He was then taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Furthermore, the police arrested a woman in relation to an allegation of assault.
However, following further enquiries, both the man and the woman were released without charge and will face no further police action.
The two people involved are believed to be known to each other.
It was understood police were at the scene for some time and a cordon was in place.
A passer-by told the Echo: "I was walking up Franchise Street and I saw a police car parked up outside some flats in Wyke Road with its lights flashing and an ambulance plus another police car parked opposite. This was around 7.30pm. Moments later the ambulance took off at speed with lights flashing down Boot Hill.
Another eyewitness said that a door and a window of a property had been damaged and that there was blood on the ground.
