A New Forest pony has been killed in a hit and run.
An investigation has been launched by New Forest Roads Awareness following the discovery on Thursday.
The mini Shetland pony was found dead at Norleywood Crossroads.
The pony had suffered a broken leg and it is believed the pony might have "staggered on until she died".
Now, a £5,000 reward has been offered for reporting a hit and run driver following a conviction.
In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson from New Forest Road Awareness said: "This is not the first incident scene I have attended, but this one really was upsetting.
"This little mite had a broken leg, and may have staggered on until she died.
"We had done an Operation Mountie on this road yesterday, in response to three incidents that happened recently.
This is a long straight road, the verges have been cut back, so as much as possible has been done to keep everyone safe.
"Please share the post, and if you know any information, please do the right thing and report it."
