Drugs and cash have been seized following a raid in Charminster, near Dorchester at around 8.00 am this morning.
The police have been enhancing their activity as part of a week of action for Neighbourhood Policing Week
A statement via social media from Dorset Police wrote:
"Drugs and cash were seized as officers executed a warrant near Dorchester as part of a week of action.
"As part of Neighbourhood Policing Week, officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted the warrant under section eight of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act at an address in Charminster on the morning of Friday 27 January 2023.
"A quantity of suspected class B drugs were located, as well as cash and suspected drug-related paraphernalia.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the matter and a man is assisting officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made."
Sergeant Matt Whetham, of the Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This warrant was conducted as part of the enhanced activity we are carrying out during Neighbourhood Policing Week to crack down on suspected drug-related activity and other issues in our communities.
“We will continue to take proactive action to respond to the concerns of those who live in our neighbourhoods and relentlessly pursue those believed to be involved in criminality.”
