A pantomime group is making a 'giant' return after a three-year break.
Preston Pantomime Group is returning for its 2023 show after an extended hiatus caused by the pandemic.
This year they are presenting a fun-packed adventure for all the family - the tale of Jack and the Beanstalk.
The show will be taking place at Preston Village Hall, Weymouth, during the half-term holiday week from Wednesday, February 15 to Saturday, February 18.
Director Tim Moss said: “Returning to panto after lockdown has been both challenging and exciting, but I’m sure our 2023 production will be as enjoyable as our previous shows. We would love you to join in the fun, so please get your tickets now.”
The show has been directed and produced by Tim and Jeanette Moss, with a script by Lee Redwood which has been adapted by Chris Cole.
The group will be raising funds this year for local charities including: Weymouth Foodbank, Cycling Without Age Weymouth and Friends of Dorset Care Leavers.
In light of the difficulties many people are facing at the moment, ticket prices have been kept the same as they were in 2020.

A spokesperson said: “The cast, backstage crew, set designers and a host of others have been hard at work since September, and well before that in some cases. And now everyone is eager, excited and ready to go.
“All is set for a show of side-splitting fun, magic, and wonder! Will Jack save the day, will Daisy the cow survive, will the evil Fleshcreep get his comeuppance, and probably more importantly will Simple Simon ever sing again?”
Evening performances starts at 7.30pm, with doors open at 7pm. The matinee on Saturday, February 18 starts at 2.30pm with doors open at 2pm.
Tickets are £8 for adults, £5 for children, £7 for over 65s and a family ticket (two adults and two children) is £20.
