A CHILD was injured after being clipped by the wing mirror of a car which did not stop at the scene.

At around 8.45am on Friday, January 6, a 12-year-old boy was walking with his mother in Gillingham High Street when he was clipped by the wing mirror of a passing silver car. It was reported that the car involved did not stop at the scene.

The boy suffered a minor injury to his arm and did not require medical treatment.

Officers investigating the reported fail-to-stop road traffic collision are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

“I would also ask that motorists who were driving in the area around the relevant time check any dashcam footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”
