A LORRY that tipped onto its side caused a road to be closed in Preston near Weymouth.
The single-vehicle collision happened at around 7:55 am on the morning of Wednesday, January 18.
It took place in Coombe Valley Road in the Preston area of Weymouth following a period of freezing conditions in the area during a yellow warning for ice in Dorset.
As the road was closed, traffic was being diverted to alternative routes but was 'coping well' according to travel monitoring service INRIX.
The road re-opened later that morning after the vehicle was safely recovered.
The crash followed another serious collision in the area which resulted in the A353 Wareham Road being closed in both directions following a single vehicle accident where a man was seriously injured and a dog died.
