Train passengers are being warned not to travel to Weymouth due to a 'number of incidents' on the rail network.
South Western Railway has advised customers to avoid travelling between Basingstoke and Weymouth, adding people should travel after 3pm today or use an alternative route.
It comes as the railway line between Weymouth and London Waterloo was impacted yesterday after a landslip in Hampshire is expected to impact journeys until the end of this week.
Sustained heavy rain fell in Dorset overnight, causing widespread flooding and closures on the roads and railways.
Rail services are being cancelled elsewhere in the region between Brockenhurst and Bournemouth, while some areas of the county even experienced flurries of snow.
And amid the subzero temperatures, Dorset Council has activated its severe weather protocol to help those sleeping rough.
⚠️ Due to a number of incidents across the South Western Railway network we are currently advising customers not to travel between Basingstoke and Weymouth.
