Work has begun on the installation of a new water pipe which has led to a road in Upwey to be shut for over a month.
Around 510 metres of Watery Lane is closed between the junction with Stottingway Street and its junction with the access road to Wey Valley Farm.
Wessex Water began the work on Tuesday, January 3 and it's expected to be complete by Friday, February 24.
For the duration of the works, a diversion route will be in place via Stottingway Street, Dorchester Road, Mill Street and Watery Lane.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the road to allow Wessex Water safe access whilst workers replace the water main.
For further information about the work being undertaken, call Wessex Water on 07823370740 or contact Dorset Highways Traffic Team on 01305 221020 or email trafficteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk
