A FISH restaurant owned by celebrity chef Mark Hix will open next week in Lyme Regis.
Hix Oyster & Fish House is expected to open at the end of next week in the seafront's Lister Garden, serving 'no frills' food and using local produce.
Final preparations are now taking place at the restaurant, a glass and wooden building overlooking the Cobb on the site of the former Fish Restaurant.
After working in London restaurants for 25 years, Mr Hix, from West Bay, is returning to Dorset to set up his own restaurant with business partner Ratnesh Bagdai.
But in line with their simple menu, there will be no lavish fanfare to mark the opening of the eatery.
Mr Bagdai worked with the Great British Menu star at Caprice Holdings, a company owning eight of London's top restaurants, including The Ivy.
They also own a restaurant in London's Smithfield Meat Market, called Hix Oyster and Chop House, which Mr Bagdai said has received rave reviews.
