A residential home has held a 'very successful' Christmas coffee morning.
MacPherson House residential home on Wyke Oliver Road, Preston, Weymouth enjoyed its Christmas coffee morning after a three-year break caused by the pandemic, raising £350 for the home.
Abbeyfield Society Chairman of Trustees Malcolm Thame said: "It was a surprise to have a lovely cake given to the residents at our coffee morning and to have a chat. The morning was very successful, and we made £350. Everyone enjoyed having a chat over a cup of coffee."
The morning was also attended by the Littlemoor and Preston Dorset Councillor Louie O'Leary and Weymouth town councillor for Preston Peter Dickenson who presented a cake to the residents.
Cllr Louie O'Leary said: "There are so many events to attend but all are special. It was lovely to be able to speak to so many residents and contribute to a good cause. Well done to the staff, residents and trustees who did such a great job"
