‘Avoid the area’: Serious crash closes road (Image: Stock image)
A serious crash closed a road for most of the day.
The A30, between Sherborne and Yeovil, was closed all day yesterday (Thursday) due to a crash close to the junction with Marl Lane.
Road closures were put in place as emergency services responded to the incident and members of the public were advised to avoid the area if possible.

It only reopened in the early hours of this morning.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while the closures are in place."
