A former pharmacy is expected to be converted into a restaurant.
Dorset Council has given permission for the change at the Salisbury Street building, Blandford, including installing an extractor system to the rear.
The Grade II-listed building, at 3 Salisbury Street, was last used as a Boots pharmacy in January 2021 with the first and second floors used for storage.
Internal changes to the building will include removing a consultation room and building a stud wall to create an access to the customer toilets, separated from the kitchen area at the rear of the site.
An illustration submitted with the planning application to Dorset Council suggests the restaurant could offer around 66 covers.
