A woman was treated for minor injuries following an incident on Portesham Hill this morning.
The incident, which police attended at 08:44 this morning near the Martinstown turn off, reportedly caused heavy traffic in both directions on the route.
Both police and the ambulance service were on the scene before the road was cleared at 09:40am.
A statement from Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 8.44am of a road traffic collision on Portesham Hill. Officers attended, along with the ambulance service and one woman was treated for minor injuries.
"The road was cleared and officers left the scene at around 9.40am."
A statement on the AA's live route planner interactive map at the time said: "Reports of heavy traffic due to a crash on Portesham Hill both ways near Martinstown turn off."
