MEMBERS of the Territorial Army have been celebrating its 100th year.
A grand reunion of Dorset Territorial infantry volunteers was held at Dorchester's TA centre in Poundbury Road to mark the anniversary.
It was organised by C Company 6th Battalion, The Rifles, and was the first time that ex-Dorset TA men and women had come together for more than 30 years.
More than 200 people attended the party.
It included a display by the 6 Rifles Band and a curry supper in the evening.
Capt Paul Cobbold, permanent staff administrative officer, said: "The landmark of TA100 offered the perfect opportunity to stage the event in real style. Virtually every company commander of the past three or four decades was present."
The evening is part of a series of events to celebrate TA100'.
