Nothe Fort will be opening the doors and inviting the public to explore one of Weymouth’s best heritage sites on November 19 and November 20.

Between 11am and 3pm on both days, members of the public are invited to discover the untold story of the Nothe Fort’s Cold War bunker through an immersive guided tour.

These bookable guided tours offer a captivating insight into the turbulent circumstances ordinary civilians and those working and living in the bunker found themselves in.

Inside is a maze of underground passages, a parade ground with gun positioned high on the ramparts and a museum detailing the fort's history and hidden secrets.

Visitors will be able to explore the reality of living in Weymouth during the during the unpredictable threat of a nuclear war.

This guided tour is only suitable for those aged 11 and above.
