A person was taken to hospital after a medical emergency on a South Western Railway train.
The ambulance service attended the incident on Sunday evening after a passenger was taken ill on the 5.45pm train from Weymouth to London Waterloo.
The passenger was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
The train remained stationary at Parkstone having arrived shortly after 6.30pm on Sunday before departing around 45 minutes later.
A passenger on board the train said an announcement had been made asking if there were any medical professionals aboard the train that could help.
Delays resulting from the incident continued until around 9pm.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 18.42hrs on Sunday 13 November to an incident in Parkstone. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an operations officer and a critical care car. We conveyed one patient to Bournemouth Royal Hospital.”
