Drivers in and around Dorset will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A35, from 6am April 16 2019 to 6am December 16 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): Third party works - Dorset VIP - traffic signals and speed limit - A35 Winterbourne Abbas.
• A31, from 8pm September 20 2021 to 6am December 21 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A31 both directions Ringwood to Ashley Heath, carriageway closures for major projects, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.
And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A31, from 8pm November 8 to 6am November 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A31 eastbound and westbound, West Moors, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.
• A303, from 8pm November 11 to 4am November 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Wincanton to Mere - lane closures for barrier/fence safety repairs.
• A31, from 6am November 13 to 9.30am November 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A31 westbound, Roundhouse Roundabout to Almer, temporary traffic lights for BT works.
• A35, from 8am to 4pm on November 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A35 Morcombelake - use our network as diversion route - Wessex Water - Manscombe House - one day.
• A31, from 8pm November 14 to 6am November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A31 both directions Roundhouse Roundabout, temporary traffic lights for drainage work.
• A35, from 8pm November 14 to 6am November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A35 Bridport to Dorchester - carriageway closure - maintenance works, diversion via . A35, A3066 to Misterton via A356 onto the A37 to the A35 at Poundbury.
• A303, from 8pm November 14 to 5am November 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Mere entry slip road closure for horticulture, diversion westbound, on New Road to Tinkers Hill.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
