GREEN-thinking people will be able to find out more about reusing and recycling rubbish in Purbeck.
This Sunday the Purbeck School in Wareham will be hosting stalls, competitions and activities for children including free face painting.
Now in its third year, the event is organised by Purbeck District Council as part of Purbeck Environment Week, and will run from 9am until 1pm.
This year's theme is reduce, reuse, recycle' and it is combined with the Purbeck School Parent Teacher Association car boot sale, which is a great way to start the trend.
Visitors will be able to enjoy competitions and giveaways, with a free prize to everyone who arrives on a bike.
There will also be refreshments and a chance to try out the Toyota Prius hybrid car, as well as local food products to help visitors reduce food miles and reusable household items from Dorset Reclaim.
Activities for the children include workshops with the Dorset Scrapstore to 'make and take' and free face painting. Information stands will offer insight to recycling, travelling sustainably, energy efficiency and composting.
