A darkly comic evening of macabre mini plays with a festive flavour is coming to Portland.
Dorset’s rural arts charity Artsreach is delighted to welcome ‘Owdyado Theatre back to the county this December with yet more dark and twisted drama in Twisted Christmas, a deliciously depraved take on the holiday season!
With brand-new stories by writers from Cornwall and across the UK, Twisted Christmas features a macabre combination of seven original micro-plays including tales of how to buy the perfect gift for your unloved ones, the dark side of Christmas cracker jokes, and one woman’s maniacal plot to murder Santa Claus!
As associate artists of Hall For Cornwall, ‘Owdyado Theatre work with both established and emerging writers to produce original work that tours across the UK.
Influenced by cult classics such as Inside No.9, The Twilight Zone and Roald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected, Twisted Christmas promises a darkly comic evening of macabre mini plays all with a festive flavour!
Artsreach is delighted to present Twisted Christmas at Portland Royal Manor Theatre (03336 663366) on Saturday, December 3.
It will also be performed at Winterborne Stickland Hall (01258 880920) on Friday, December 2. Both performances begin at 7pm. Further information and tickets are also available online at artsreach.co.uk
