May I take this opportunity through this page to thank all the boys and girls who make up the Littlemoor Choir. Their performance at the local community hall was brilliant.
Littlemoor sometimes is victim of negative publicity but on this ocasion it is worthy of nothing but positive praise. The choir, led by college tutor Grazina Ellis, is made up of voices from all ages and varied talents.
Indeed, they didn't just sing - we were privileged to hear also the piano, guitar and recorder being played. The choir sang from a wide range of repartee including music from Mozart to Carole King.
The community hall was a pleasant surprise to many who had not been there before. Very spacious and newly decorated, it has a wonderful stage which boasts its own piano, clean facilities and a very modern, well-equipped kitchen.
During the interval the performers mingled with the audience and chatted and made us all feel very welcome - in fact, they even provided us with refreshments and a selection of fancy cakes that they had made themselves.
No charge was made to the audience for this Sunday afternoon of entertainment and I feel that all who came along and listened and enjoyed as I did would like to say a very big thank you to this choir.
In June they will be singing in Lithuania at an international festival of music and I would like to wish them every success.
