THE Diabetes UK voluntary group teamed up with staff at the Royal Crescent and Preston Road Practice to host a diabetes awareness evening at the Royal Crescent Surgery.
Newly-diagnosed diabetes patients were invited to go along and meet specialist staff and collect information.
The event was attended by a diabetes specialist nurse and a dietician from the Dorchester diabetes centre, a PCT diabetes representative, GP, nurse and receptionist from the surgery and Diabetes UK voluntary group members.
The evening was the first of a series of health promotion events planned by the surgery.
