Police officers investigating a reported sexual assault have made an arrest following a public appeal.
It was reported that on Monday, October 10 a 17-year-old girl was walking in Crescent Street, Weymouth at 4:20 pm when she was approached by a man who attempted to engage her in conversation before reportedly hugging her and kissing the top of her head.
He then allegedly made another attempt to kiss her.
Following an image appeal, a 31-year-old man from London has now been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
Dorset Police thanked everyone who shared their image appeal.
