THE most reliable train station in the Dorset Council area has been revealed with more than half in the bottom 25 per cent nationwide.
Data from OnTimeTrains highlights the performance of trains across the county and compares their daily performance with nearby, and national, benchmarks.
Comparing figures over the past 12 weeks, more than half of the area's ten stations are outside the top 2,000 nationally.
Moreton is listed as the most reliable station in the Dorset Council area during the past three months - with 77 per cent of trains arriving within two minutes of their scheduled time and just seven per cent delayed by 10 or more minutes.
At the other end of the scale, Yetminster is one of the least reliable in the whole country: it placed 2,576th out of 2,626 stations. Just one in five trains to Yetminster arrived on time with the same number (18 per cent) over 10 minutes late.
Dorset's major stations - Weymouth and Dorchester South - have seen 75 per cent and 70 per cent, respectively, of trains arriving within two minutes of their scheduled time.
