A monthly cathedral-style service of Choral Evensong is being held at a church in Dorchester.
All are invited to the service on Saturday, October 22 at 4.30pm in St Peter’s Church at 26 High East Street.
To mark the 150th anniversary of Vaughan Williams’s birth, the service includes hymn tunes by the composer as well as ‘O taste and see’ as the introit.
Other music will include Sumsion ‘Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in G’, Ayleward ‘Preces & Responses’ and Ireland ‘Greater love hath no man’. Peter Nardone is at the organ and Ian Davis directing.
Anyone who wishes to come to the service is invited to join for a glass of wine after the service.
