A stretch of the A30 in north Dorset is to remain closed for a year.
Motorists in Sherborne have faced daily delays on the A30 Kitt Hill since February when a car crashed into a wall.
The road was fully closed for several weeks before partially re-opening in the first week of May.
Work has continued since then, in addition to separate work at Marston Road, with delays seemingly a daily occurrence.
The work at Marston Road is scheduled to be completed this Friday, October 7.
Dorset Highways has issued a notice that work will continue at Kitt Hill with a provisional end date of September 18 2023.
The notice covers both Kitt Hill and, neighbouring, Cornhill which is currently open for one-way traffic.
West Dorset MP Chris Loder launched a petition back in April calling for Cornhill to be re-opened saying the road had been 'unnecessarily closed'.
Dorset Council and Chris Loder have been approached for comment.
