A man who was seen uncovering secrets from his past on national television recently will give a talk about his life.
John (Sooty) Stockley, who appeared on Channel 4's Secret War Babies, will speak of his experiences growing up as an Afro/Caribbean son of an American GI in Weymouth.
The talk, which will be combined with a ploughman's supper, will take place at Osmington Village Hall on Friday, October 7 and is at 7pm for 7.30pm.
Promoters say: "This will be an amusing account from our local friend and chimney sweep."
Tickets cots £12.50 and are strictly limited. They must be booked.
Call 01305 813446 and book your table for 8 people.
There will be a bar on the night and a raffle. All profits will go to the RNLI.
