DORSET Wildlife Trust has a variety of events coming up including a wildlife art show from today until June 8.
It will offer stunning and colourful displays of flora and fauna including sculpture, painting, jewellery, pottery and photography.
On June 5-6 the trust is running small mammal trapping training at Pound Cottage, Kingcombe and at South Poorton. More information is available on 01305 264620.
A marine model workshop of children aged eight and over will be held on June 8 from 1-4pm at Fine Foundation Marine Centre, Kimmeridge Bay. The cost is £5 and booking on 01929 481044 is essential.
Dorchester Riverside Reserve is the venue on June 9 for a Himalayan Balsam pulling evening to help clear this alien invasive plant. Wellington boots and gardening gloves should be worn and those interested should meet along the mill stream in Dorchester between 7-9pm.
A guided walk will be held on June 14 around the trust's Kingcombe Meadows nature reserve meeting at 10.30am. It costs £6 and booking details are available on 01258 471487.
Weymouth's Lorton Meadows nature reserve hosts a wildlife ramble on June 14 from 2-4pm for £1, booking on 01305 816546, and there will be a identification workshop at Brooklands Farm on June 17 at 6.30pm.
