A GROUP of 16 tree frogs are enjoying life in Weymouth as illegal immigrants.
The frogs, which are of an Indonesian or Australian species, were delivered to England by mistake and seized by customs officers at Heathrow airport.
Without paperwork the frogs could not be re-homed, so Weymouth Sea Life Park received them from the Specialist Wildlife Association.
Six have now been transferred into a new display tank and will be kept at the park.
Display supervisor at Weymouth Sea Life Park Claire Little said the remainder would be looked after in the park's biological services unit until tanks were prepared for them at other Sea Life centres throughout the United Kingdom.
She said: "We don't want to overcrowd them, so we are only keeping six.
"We have put them in a new display and they are now be seen by our visitors. They were delivered to England by mistake and seized by customs.
"They had no paperwork but are believed to be sent from Indonesia or Australia."
