STUDENTS from Weymouth College have taken part in an all day English literature conference at the college.
Literary consultant, principal moderator and senior examiner Jon Rich and college English lecturer Mark Chutter also attended and there was advice and revision tips on everything from war literature and Hamlet to the poetry of John Clare - texts being studied for examinations in June.
Student David Patrick said: "The English department at Weymouth College is superb with really lively and dynamic teaching.
"Jon Rich was an outstanding speaker and I really learned how to place texts into their relevant contexts."
Mr Chutter said: "It was wonderful to have such an experienced examiner lecturing to our students.
"It is events like this that make the English department at Weymouth College outstanding and vibrant.
"The day was also useful to give students a taster' of university-style teaching."
