STONEMASONRY students at Weymouth College showed off their talents at the department's annual carving competition.
The students had two-and-a-half days to showcase their talents by producing a stone boss carving - a decorative carved architectural stone work.
The theme for the 13th annual competition was fur or feathers' and the budding stonemasons rose to the challenge to produce some imaginative pieces of work.
Guest judge Richard Mitchell, from Chichester Cathedral, said: "I was very impressed by the high standard of craftsmanship. It was exciting to see so much new talent and creativity on display at the college."
James Thrower fought off stiff competition to be named overall winner, while Ben Russell was first year winner and Jonathan Randall scooped the second year prize.
Programme manager for the college's masonry department John Firth said: "The work the students produce is outstanding."
