POLICE will be patrolling the parsnips after gardeners appealed for help with veg vandals at Dorchester allotments.
PCSO Mark Wodarek-Black said allotment holders raised the issue at a Pact - Partners and Communities Together - meeting in the town.
He said: "Apparently there have been incidents at the Poundbury Crescent allotments of people pulling up vegetables and spoiling them. There's a bit of theft too.
Other issues raised at the meeting included complaints about rubbish in Wollaston Road and people parking for too long in spaces at the Charles Street end of the Hardye Arcade which should be used for loading.
The next Pact meeting for the Dorchester north area is at the Corn Exchange on Thursday, July 3.
