Hilfield Friary

  • THE Society of Saint Francis, Hilfield Friary, is a religious order working in England and Ireland and would like to invite anyone between the ages of 13 and 17 years to their annual youth camp.

The brothers of Hilfield Friary live and work in the complex of buildings around the Friary courtyard with a particular emphasis on assisting the poor and under-privileged.

They are able to welcome individuals and parties of day visitors for quiet days, PCC away days, for special programmed events, as well as Third Order and Companion Days.

If you would like to make any enquiries please e-mail hilfieldguests@franciscans.org.uk.

Part of their work is also Hilfield Youth Camp (hyc), a Christian youth camp of around 60 people.

It takes place annually in the Friary grounds and costs from around £ 120.

What happens in the youth camp?

Young people have fun, play games, organise karaoke, art events, music and trips to local beaches and towns.

All this in stunning surroundings whilst exploring a central, Christian theme.

The aim and the heart of the hyc is to explore a theme, build a community and make new friends.

If you would like to know more about the camp, phone Bob Bailey on 01924 259966 or e-mail office@sandalmagna.fsnet.co.uk.

Hilfield Friary also has a family camp each year in August before the youth camp on which Bob will also be able to provide more information.
