A FIVE-NIGHT concert and record number of exhibitions look set to make the 40th Great Dorset Steam Fair the best yet.
The fair at Tarrant Hinton, near Blandford Forum is celebrating its ruby anniversary with a special 3,000-person capacity concert pavilion and performances every night of the event.
Other attractions include more than 200 working steam engines, eight cider stalls, vintage cars, heavy horses and one of the country's biggest travelling funfairs.
A record 2,000 exhibits are already confirmed for this year's event, which is expected to attract more than 200,000 people from Wednesday, August 27, to Sunday, August 31.
Managing director Martin Oliver said: "The 40th Great Dorset Steam Fair is set to be the best yet and a real spectacle for the people of Dorset and those across the world who have enjoyed it through the years."
