THE Spring Ball, held at the Jubilee Hall in Easton, attracted over 70 supporters of the Weymouth and Portland Friends of Chernobyl Children.
Chairman Rick Winterburn welcomed the company who, following the dinner, danced the night away to the music of Portland Community Swing Band.
David Keys from Dorchester led the way into ballroom dancing and demonstrations were given by two young couples.
The event raised £708 which will pay for all the travelling expenses for one child in the party from Belarus who will be coming to Weymouth and Portland to spend a month during summer.
