A FORMER pupil of Weymouth's Wey Valley School has married on the other side of the world. James Bruce went to the other end of the world to find his ideal wife who he discovered just at the end of a year away travelling in New Zealand.
Since then he has moved to Wellington, New Zealand where he and Katherine Manson, have set up home.
James, who also attended Weymouth College and Sheffield University, made his career as a police officer in West Yorkshire and is now a Wellington High Court official.
The couple were married on a beautiful beach in Wellington and held their reception at the Wellington Boat Shed.
James's parents are former South Dorset MP Ian Bruce and his wife, Hazel, from Preston.
Ten of James immediate family were able to make the long journey and then join him and his new bride on a tour of New Zealand's South Island.
Pictured are Hazel Bruce, Maxine Davies, James Bruce, Katherine Bruce (nee Manson) Tasmin Head and Ian Bruce.
