JUST HOW GREEN HAVE YOU BEEN
By Nick Tomlinson, Weymouth RSPB Radipole and Lodmoor reserves manager
"WE DO recycle our garden waste and as much as we can from the house.
We recycle glass, paper, tins and cardboard and if we can't recycle it we try to use it again.
We also turn our garden waste into compost and that helps to grow some of our own vegetables.
We shower rather than bath because that saves energy and we also use energy saving light bulbs.
Also, our kitchen equipment is the most energy efficient we could find including our kettle which has an external element which means you use less water for a cup of tea.
We also try and buy UK products because it reduces our carbon footprint and we try to use the minimum amount of packaging in our lives to help the environment."
